Positive Psychology is the study of human happiness and life satisfaction – what works in life as demonstrated through research. However, it isn’t always obvious how to translate this research into clinical work.

There is great research coming from Positive Psychology but how do you use it in clinical work to be more effective?

  • The latest findings from Positive Psychology: What makes people happy; what makes life meaningful
  • The surprising things that don’t make us happy and why we are so bad at predicting what will make us happy
  • The four essential elements of happiness and a meaningful life
  • Translating these findings into clinical interventions

This telephone seminar recording will offer methods of doing therapy and change work that derive from and fit with this breakthrough research. Use this understanding of positive psychology to reduce suffering and depression in clients and to help them make small, meaningful shifts to resolve presenting problems.

Objectives

  • Utilize at least three Positive Psychology research findings in clinical work
  • List the four life energies that can help clients find their life and work directions
  • Identify at least three factors that increase happiness
